With a flight from Frankfurt via Japan - Tokio - my journey to Indonesia began today. My destinations for underwater photography are Raja Ampat - Irian Jaya - and Bali in Indonesia.

This time I am using the Lufthansa First Class Terminal in Frankfurt Airport, in order to avoid the usual stress in and around the main terminal. I have driven past the Lufthansa First Class Terminal so many times, but never realised that I could have used this possibility of stress-free check-in earlier ;-) The drive from terminal to plane – in a Porsche Cayenne!! – is pretty decadent though!

After arriving at Tokio Airport Narita I took a taxi to the Century Hyatt Hotel Tokyo. The Century Hyatt Hotel is in the Shinjuku district. This evening I plan a helicopter night-flight with Asahi Helicopter over Tokyo. A flight over Tokyo by night is a flight over the vast sea of light of a city which never seems to sleep.
