Jumeirah Emirates Towers - Dubai

After four eventful days in Oman, today I flew with Emirates from Muscat back to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. I am going to stay at the Jumeirah Emirates Towers. The Jumeirah Emirates Towers are about 30 car minutes from Dubai International Airport, and the trip is of course complimentary for Emirates customers! I still stood out driving up to the lobby though, as Emirates use a Volvo Estate for my booking class... okay for me, really, but lots of people arrive driving Ferraris or S-class Mercedes ;-)) As I know nothing about cars, a friend had to explain it to me. Jumeirah Emirates Towers Hotel is the best Business Hotel in the world - this was news to me too ;-)

My room is in on a middle floor, with a view of the Emirates Tower opposite. After a short siesta and a business meeting, I had supper in the Lebanese restaurant - Al Nafoorah. This is on Jumeirah Emirates Towers Boulevard - opposite an Yves Saint Laurent shop. The original Lebanese music and authentic food explains the award that the restaurant won - Best Lebanese Restaurant March 2007. Another top Lebanese restaurant - Al Khayal - is to be found in the Jumeirah Beach Hotel, with a view of the Burj Al Arab. So both restaurants have their charm! Though I had got pretty tired, and had had interesting chats in the Al Nafoorah restaurant, I grabbed my cameras and photographed the Jumeirah Emirates Towers at night. I had no energy left to take pictures from the buildings opposite, though. After a short visit to the Emirates Towers Vu's Bar on the 51st floor, with its fantastic view of Dubai at night, I finished this long day. YAWN ;-)
